About Batuhan

Batuhan Guler is Head of AI at Lupa, where he runs the AI Lab, the only dedicated AI lab in the veterinary industry. He has spent the last year working closely with vets to build AI designed specifically for veterinary workflows.

Before Lupa, he spent over four years as a data scientist delivering machine learning projects for multinational energy and consumer goods companies across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, including predictive maintenance at scale, computer vision for anomaly detection, and virtual metering. Earlier in his career he worked as a quantitative analyst in portfolio management.

He holds an MSc in Machine Learning from Imperial College London (Distinction) and an MEng in Mathematics from Centrale Lyon. His master's research on deep learning methods for solving high-dimensional differential equations was published at NeurIPS 2019, one of the leading academic conferences in machine learning.

That combination, real research depth and a year spent building alongside practising vets, is what shapes how he writes about AI: grounded in what actually works in a consult room, not what sounds impressive in a demo.
